THE 3rd YOUTH FESTIVAL DEVOTED TO 88th ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL LEADER HAYDAR ALIYEV HELD AT QAFQAZ UNIVERSITY
The 3rd Youth Festival devoted to 88th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at Qafqaz University Campus. At the event, Professor Ahmet Sanic, the rector of Qafqaz University made speech and in his speech he noted that, the selection of the name “the 3rd Youth Festival” which is devoted to 88th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev comes from the great leader’s statement of "I always see the future of Turkish world in the young generation". ”Love of motherland, nation, people, language and national culture held special place in Heydar Aliyev’s heritage. He considered all of these as basic human values. The great leader’s meaningful way of life is the real example for the education of our young generation who are the guarantor of our future development.
Heydar Aliyev was the founder of the modern youth policy. On the initiative of the Mr. President Ilham Aliyev who is the successor of Heydar Aliyev the special care and attention to the youth is undeniable. The rector spoke about the suitable opportunities for the youth of Qafqaz University in the field of education. Then at the event, within the framework of “Qafqaz University chooses the man of the year the following people was awarded to the nomination of the year such as:
Arif Pashayev, the rector of Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy was awarded to the science man of the year nomination, Arif Esedov, the professional head coach of Neftchi Football team was awarded to the sportsman of the year nomination, Rashad Abdullayev, a football player of the professional Neftchi Football team awarded to the football player of the year nomination, Zelimkhan Yagub, the people’s poet awarded to the poet of the year nomination, Anar Rza, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers Union awarded to the writer of the year nomination, Niftali Gocayev, the vice rector on scientific works of Qafqaz university awarded to the teacher of the year nomination, Sevda Yehyaeva awared to the lady singer of the year nomination, Elchin Ceferov awared to the young singer of the year nomination, Abdolbari Goozal ,the president of Azersun Holding awarded to the businessman of the year nomination, Mubariz Mensimov, the president of Palmali Company was awarded to the nomination of the successful Azerbaijani businessman in abroad.
After the presentation ceremony, the festival kept on with the concert program. At the festival, stands and the exhibition of the works prepared by the students of Qafqaz University were displayed. The winners of mini football, chess, and table tennis competition were given presents by Ahmet Sanic. Different songs by well known singers gladdened the participants.
